"Mark the perfect man"

To the one who will "search the scriptures" in the light of Christian Science, pondering the spiritual meaning of the loving messages contained therein, there is sure to come a degree of enlightenment and helpfulness not to be found in any other way. How often do we pray that God may lead us or show us the way to go! Yet all the while these messages of Truth await our search, and we are urged to be guided by them.

Both the Old and the New Testament are filled with very definite directions which, metaphysically interpreted, will "guide you into all truth." It was just such guidance that Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, sought and found when, suffering from an injury declared by her physician to be fatal, she discovered the healing power of Truth, and was raised from a bed of sickness to a life of consecrated helpfulness and blessing to mankind.

Honesty, humility, and spirituality are essential to success in searching the Scriptures. Without these qualities thought is blinded by dishonesty, egotism, and materiality, and failure and disappointment are the result.
