It is with a great sense of love and gratitude that I send this testimony of my first experience of the healing power of Christian Science. I was suffering from a dangerous form of gastritis, also neuritis in my hands, and had been in this condition for nearly four years. I had ceased to have any further medical advice or to take any medicine, eating very little food and fearing to go out alone. When things were about as bad as they could be, an intimate friend introduced me to a Christian Scientist, who, she felt sure, could help me. After a very interesting talk with this lady I accepted the loan of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I quite forgot self in reading this wonderful book; and in three weeks I was healed. I became so conscious of its message of love that for the time I quite forgot everything else.

Since then I have passed through several difficult experiences, all of which I can truly say have taught me to rejoice and to know them as proofs of God's loving care. Truly there are no words adequate to express our gratitude and love to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for all she has done for us morally and physically, by giving us a religion which teaches us how to understand that God is Love and an ever present help in trouble.—(Mrs.) Ada Q.
