Divine Alchemy

He finds the virgin gold without alloy
Who knows the heav'n-born joy
Of unselfed deeds, who, having made
The sacrifice where mortal self is laid
Within Truth's crucible and tried,
Views imaged Love. Thus purified,
His brother's need, though unexpressed,
Is seen, supplied—the Christ-behest.
