When Christian Science was brought to my attention, I...
When Christian Science was brought to my attention, I was in bondage to what physicians term a complication of diseases. These were all practically instantaneously destroyed by reading the testimonies in the Christian Science Sentinel.
I am indeed grateful that I was able to accept this wonderful truth, asking no questions, but taking all I read as the truth. Jesus said, "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impos sible unto you." During the past ten years I have proved many times that God is Love and "a very present help in trouble;" and I have been able to remove many mountains of error.
On one occasion, when I had been interested in Christian Science about three months, I met with a severe accident. Instantly I knew that I should receive the help I needed through Christian Science. I expected to have to call for help, but the Scriptures declare, "Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear;" and I was healed in less time than it takes to tell of it. This healing will always stand out as a beacon light, as under medical law I should, no doubt, have suffered agony, followed with sleepless nights, and I might have been incapacitated for a great length of time. Another healing for which I am deeply grateful was the instantaneous overcoming of a so-called incurable disease. This was instantly destroyed when the "still small voice" of Truth said that if another could be healed, I could also experience this blessing.
