It has been twelve years since I began my journey from sense to Soul by way of Christian Science. During that time I have been sustained through many trying ordeals and have been healed physically. I have had financial difficulties solved through the understanding of Truth as the only source of supply; and in my social and church relationships I have had misunderstandings completely destroyed through an understanding of God as the Father-Mother of the universe.

I wish to express gratitude for the first healing I experienced through the application of Christian Science, one which came to me shortly after beginning my study. I had been reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy for about four weeks when I manifested the most aggravated cold I had ever experienced. I did not know I might call for help, and so began to read and attempt to apply my understanding of Truth for myself.

I was constantly face to face with kindly advice from others as to what I should do. I only smiled my appreciation for their loving interest, and went on silently trying to realize the truth that I knew would make me free. For two days there seemed no improvement in my condition. On the morning of the third day, I received a message requesting me to spend the week-end with my sister, who was ill. I was panicstricken at the thought of going; yet I could not refuse. She knew I was studying Christian Science, and I felt I would do Mrs. Eddy and all her works an unpardonable injustice to appear before people who did not know what Christian Science is, while expressing so much discord.
