I had read and loved the Bible from childhood; but as I grew older I could see little connection between its teaching and that of the church of which I was a member. I believed that God healed the sick. Receiving no satisfactory answers to my questioning of teachers and pastor, I struggled on until I heard of Christian Science; and I truly am grateful and happy that through its study I have come to know that the Bible is true, and that God is "a very present help in trouble," as the Scriptures declare. I have had many proofs of God's healing presence, but will mention only one,—the healing of heart trouble. I had suffered from this almost constantly for a number of years, and the fear was great. Despite the Science work that was done for me and the studying I did, for a while I seemed to grow worse, the least exertion causing much suffering. But, as Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 380), "Truth is always the victor;" and I awoke one morning perfectly healed.

I have not words to express my gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, and to Mrs. Eddy for her great gift of Christian Science to the world. I am also grateful to the friend who led me to this truth, and to the practitioners who have helped me. My greatest desire is for a better understanding of Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Norine C.
