Christian Science has healed me in many ways and of...
Christian Science has healed me in many ways and of many ills. My first physical healing, from severe hemorrhages, was instantaneous, through the realization of the truth contained in the statement on page 376 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy: "The palid invalid, whom you declare to be wasting away with consumption of the blood, should be told that blood never gave life and can never take it away,—that Life is Spirit, and that there is more life and immortality in one good motive and act than in all the blood, which ever flowed through mortal veins and simulated a corporeal sense of life." My other healings were slow, some taking months, and other years, to consummate. Just as the gradual reconstruction went on in consciousness, so the physical improvement kept pace with it.
I have been healed of chronic stomach disorder from which I could get no relief through diet or medicine; of chronic peritonitis; of a very painful trouble with my feet, which prevented me at times from getting about at all. After wearing glasses for ten years for astigmatism, they were laid off with no inconvenience whatever. Many minor troubles have been overcome also, including large boils, which appeared periodically and caused much suffering, and almost perpetual colds in the head. All these ailments have been completely healed; and throughout many years there has been no recurrence of them.
I am most grateful for the understanding that has come to me of man's true individuality in Spirit, forever perfect and indestructible, and absolutely untouched by the phases of human experience through which we may be passing.
