That the miracles recorded in the Bible were supernatural interpositions of Deity, who, on other occasions of humanity's dire needs, withholds His power, is a view your correspondent is, of course, at liberty to hold. Christian Science, however, holds that cause and effect are good, natural, and spiritual; that Christ Jesus proved this to the uttermost by overcoming all forms of evil, and that at times he upbraided his disciples for their inability to master the situation. Christian Science has nothing in common with suggestion, and with what is termed "faith healing;" and it is reasonable and demonstrable in so far as it is understood. Some of its cures seem, to human sense, as miraculous as some recorded in the Bible.
