Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication for the Year Ended September 30, 1923

A much more tolerant attitude on the part of the secular press of the state has been noted during the past year. In fact, this favorable attitude has been increasing from year to year, and very few items of an antagonistic nature originating with editors and reporters are now appearing in print. An increase in the number of lecture reports has been noticed, and a tendency is apparent to print longer reports than has been the case heretofore.

I am glad to report a continuance of the friendly attitude of the press throughout the state. Many kindly references to Christian Science have appeared; several editorial comments have quoted The Christian Science Monitor, giving full credit; and several articles have been reprinted in their entirety. Most of these articles were offered the press by this Committee.

Several lectures have been printed in full, free of charge, by our friendly newspapers. The New Mexico press has always been exceedingly courteous and kindly toward our Cause.
