Nothing could be more permanent than Christian Science

Nothing could be more permanent than Christian Science. It is the Science of Christianity, a demonstrable knowledge of the teachings of Jesus; and say such knowledge is not a fad, but exists throughout all time. And since it now exists, it must always continue to exist, even though not understood by all. The basis from which Christian Science operates is that of divine intelligence, or the only intelligence that really is. It is the exact opposite of credulity or belief, and is arrayed in battle against them. Every phase of evil is a belief in a supposed power apart from God.

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in her Message to The Mother Church for 1900 (p. 6) makes the following statement: "Any mystery in Christian Science departs when dawns the spiritual meaning thereof; and the spiritual sense of the Scriptures is the scientific sense which interprets the healing Christ;" and in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 83) she says, "Between Christian Science and all forms of superstition a great gulf is fixed, as impassable as that between Dives and Lazarus."

Mrs. Eddy can no more be forgotten than the man Jesus can be dissociated from Christianity or Moses can be separated from the Ten Commandments.
