[Original testimony in German]
I gladly testify to the blessings received through Christian Science
I gladly testify to the blessings received through Christian Science. It is nearly eight years since I first heard of this teaching. At that time, I suffered greatly from lung trouble. The doctor attending my case did his best, but the disease grew worse. Then a friend, who herself had been healed through Christian Science of a severe kidney trouble, called my attention to this teaching. She also gave me some literature, which I read with great interest. I thereupon went to a practitioner, asked for treatment, and was healed in a very short time. Once, when I was not watchful enough, I allowed disagreeable conditions to discourage me, so that a relapse occurred. I asked for help from a practitioner, and soon was healed.
We have received much benefit in our family through Christian Science. About three years ago, our little daughter fell seriously ill. Believing the illness to be scarlet fever, we called a doctor. He came at nine o'clock and diagnosed the trouble as a severe case of pneumonia and the beginning of meningitis. The Christian Science practitioner and I worked until three o'clock in the morning, when the little one quietly fell asleep,—healed. When she awoke a few hours later, she asked to get up and play. I had used no medicine whatsoever. The child was healed through Christian Science alone.
Other ailments, such as whooping cough, measles, severe toothache, violent nose bleeding, suppuration of the ear, have been healed through this Science. We also had an instantaneous healing of scarlet fever. Christian Science has brought us many blessings also in a financial way; in fact, the thought that God is the preserver of man has freed us from much sorrow and lack. I am grateful for all these blessings, and thank God for having led me to Christian Science. I also have a feeling of grateful reverence for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. It is my endeavor to prove my gratitude by my life.—(Mrs.) Luise Roth, Zurich, Switzerland.
