In loving gratitude to God, I wish to give the following testimony. Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature;" also, "Heal the sick." I was raised in an orthodox church and, while yet a child, I always thought that we should obey both of these commands. When I saw that Christian Scientists did heal, I was eager to know how they healed. Therefore I did not come to Christian Science for physical healing, but to know more of the truth. A dear friend lent me her copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and told me to read it, for it would help me to understand. I promised to read it; and because of the promise, I did so. I got the letter all right, but not the spirit. When I returned the book she insisted on my reading it again; and I cannot be thankful enough that I did read it again. It was an inspired book to me this time. I had not read halfway through the book when I was healed of constipation, from which I had suffered about thirteen years. I was also healed at this time of sick headaches, from which I had suffered for several years. In 1913, I was healed instantaneously of inflammation of the bowels through absent treatment. In two treatments I was healed of so-called female trouble, from which I had been a sufferer for fifteen years. I have never had a return of the trouble.

We have experienced many other healings in our family, for which I am very thankful. I am thankful to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to all who have so lovingly helped me on the way. My daily prayer is that I may be worthy of the name Christian Scientist.
