I am deeply grateful to God for the many blessings and benefits that Christian Science has brought to me and to my family. When Christian Science first found its way into our home, some ten years ago, I was instantly healed of chronic constipation. This to me was such a wonderful proof of the healing power of Christian Science that I took up the study with an earnest desire to learn all I could about it; and later, when the privilege of class instruction came to me, I learned what a rich blessing this teaching brings, and how necessary it is to one's growth in the understanding of Christian Science.

The most severe test in our experience in Christian Science came very soon after we had taken up the study. Our son, then nine years old, was stricken with a severe attack of what is called gravel. As we were beginners in Christian Science there was a great sense of fear in my thought, with an impulse to turn back to materia medica for help; but I have been grateful to God many times since that this fear was overcome. In six days the boy was beautifully healed through the patient and loving work of a practitioner.
