With the desire to help some one into the freedom which...

With the desire to help some one into the freedom which I have found for myself, I send this testimony. After trying for ten years, without success, every material remedy, including three surgical operations, to regain health, I was led to attend a Christian Science service, little of which was understood; but the light shining in most of the faces impressed me as something very wonderful. As a result of this service, a visit was made to a practitioner, who advised me to borrow from the Christian Science reading room a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy; and in a fortnight's time I had received such healing that I was able to work in Science by myself. During this fortnight, instantaneous healing of an internal trouble was realized. I began to walk, sleep, and eat without considering if such and such a thing would cause pain; and, by degrees, I saw that my own wrong thinking had caused the long enslavement. In place of wishing to die I began to live; and, as the material sense of things yielded somewhat to the spiritual sense, wonderful freedom was gained. Glasses, which had been used for eight years for defective sight, became unnecessary as my thinking became clearer and truer.

I am grateful for every means provided by our beloved Leader for spiritual growth and progress,—grateful for the breadth of vision that gave to a sin-sick world demonstrable Truth.—(Mrs.) M. Gertrude Dudley, Bristol, England.
