TO
those who are just approaching the study of Christian Science, there is, sometimes, a feeling of perplexity over the definitions contained in the Glossary to the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
THE
Christian Science churches and reading, rooms, which have been established throughout the world in accordance with the Manual of The Mother Church, and which are still being established to meet the ever increasing growth of this movement, are a source of inspiration and comfort to every Christian Scientist.
CHRISTIAN SCIENCE,
as discovered and given to the world by Mary Baker Eddy, is indeed the "pearl of great price" spoken of by Jesus in the gospel of Matthew, when he likened the kingdom of heaven to a "merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Charles E. Heitman, Committee on Publication for the State of New York,

Longley Taylor, Committee on Publication for the State of Illinois,
Throughout the world, thousands upon thousands of intelligent people are accepting Christian Science as bringing to them a practical understanding of the teaching of Jesus that "ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John N. Van Patten, Committee on Publication for Southern California,
Always those who assail Christian Science fail to give the public credit for knowing that there is but one test for any religion; and that an evasion of this test is a confession of failure.

About six years ago I was troubled with what two doctors termed cancer of the breast; and this diagnosis was borne out in my own mind through my training as a nurse on the staff of one of these physicians.
