Four years ago I had my first healing in Christian Science, and it was very wonderful to me and to all who knew me intimately. I had been suffering with stomach trouble about four months, being under the care of a stomach specialist most of that time. He had me on a diet (at the last I was having only milk), and I had submitted to an X-ray examination and to wearing an adhesive bandage, because he said my stomach had fallen from place. My weight had gone down from one hundred and forty to one hundred and fifteen pounds, and I had been away from my work several weeks, when I turned in great discouragement to Christian Science. The healing was instantaneous, and I have had no return of it since.

At this time I had been wearing wide steels in the back of a stiff corset, and also steel supports in my shoes, to relieve a spinal trouble, for which I had been treated several years by an orthopedic surgeon. After my first Christian Science treatment I was so free from fear, and faith in medical practice had been so entirely destroyed, that I removed bandages, steels, and supports, and began to know God's dominion. I have never put them on since; and I get along much better without them. A great sense of fatigue, due to this spinal condition, was slowly overcome.

I was also a sufferer from constipation, which I had had six or seven years, taking medicines daily. My medicines went into the waste can; and I have not taken any since. This healing came very slowly, and I had several hard struggles, sometimes having aid from a Christian Science practitioner and sometimes not; but the final victory was God's each time. I am now quite free from this trouble.
