When I first went to the Christian Science church, one Wednesday evening, and heard the testimonies of healing, I was divinely guided to a loving practitioner, who told me much about the God who loves and heals, who does not punish and hate. Whilst having the first treatment, I was freed from fear, went home and destroyed all medicine and plasters, and have never needed them since. Our son, then six years old, and I had a good night's sleep, the first in many months. The boy was healed of whooping cough in two treatments. I have proved many times that "God is no respecter of persons," but loves all His children. I was suffering from a nervous breakdown, the after effects of two operations; the boy was very weak, having what is called gastritis, so that he used to lie for days like a limp rag. Our diet consisted of rice, apples, and milk; but now we can eat what is set before us, and give thanks. The practitioner advised me to buy "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and study it along with the Bible and Quarterly. That was nearly six years ago.

I have been healed of severe headache, catarrh, colds; and while listening to a lecture I was completely healed of throat trouble that used to attack me every winter. While listening to a lady giving a testimony in church, I was freed from a bad attack of asthma. The boy has been helped during so-called contagious diseases. Once he came home from school with a note advising us to have him operated on for adenoids. He had had an operation for the same thing when four years old. When we asked the practitioner for help, she told us divine Mind was always "operating." We had no more notes from school. I was always advised by the practitioner to put into practice what I learned. On one occasion I had a bad fall; and while lying on the floor in a semiconscious state, found myself repeating the words from one of our hymns,
