Christian Science was presented to me about seven years ago, at a time when I was facing an operation for the removal of one of the kidneys, as soon as the physician should determine which one to remove. Before that point was settled satisfactorily to him, however, I had begun to study Christian Science, and my physical condition was gradually becoming greatly improved. It was nearly three months later before I realized a perfect healing; and I am surely grateful to the kind practitioner and all the friends who helped me through that interval of pains and doubts and fears.

During that time, the ninth, tenth, and eleventh verses of the ninety-first psalm were with me continually, and also the recipe for perfect trust, as found in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, on page 495: "Let neither fear nor doubt overshadow your clear sense and calm trust, that the recognition of life harmonious—as Life eternally is—can destroy any painful sense of, or belief in, that which Life is not." We have had many healings in our home through the correct application of this wonderful truth, and I am most grateful for the better understanding of God and the Bible that has come to me through continued study of Christian Science.
