New Views of Thee

"Each successive stage of experience unfolds new views of divine goodness and love."—Science and Health, page 66.

New views of Thee, O God, new views of Thee,
Goodness and Love divine, coming to me;
In each experience, I may behold
New views of Thee, O Love, ever unfold.

Ofttimes around me, low'r dark shades of night;
Sometimes the teardrops fall, veiling my sight;
Fear like a storm doth break, bending me low;
Yet in the darkest hour, Father, I know

New views of Thee will come; trusting, I wait;
New views of Love divine, banishing hate;
New views of peace and joy, drying each tear;
New views of Thine all-power, silencing fear.

Like a discoverer, eager I stand,
While all around me Truth's vistas expand;
Valley or mountain top bringing to me
New views of Thee, O Love, new views of Thee.
