I wish to express my gratitude to God for the numerous blessings which have come to us through Christian Science. Until I had the good fortune to hear about it, our little girl was always ailing. Ten years before we knew of Christian Science, she had, as a small child, several serious illnesses; and as the symptoms reappeared from time to time, we lived in perpetual dread of a relapse. My mother was crippled with rheumatism to such an extent that she could hardly use her limbs, owing to inflammation of the joints. She was very much depressed, because her family considered this illness hereditary. She also suffered from such a severe rupture that she could not even bear a truss. I myself had periodic liver attacks and thought I had to follow a strict diet.

From all this, it will be seen that we were a most unhappy family at the time Truth was revealed to us. During my first interview with a Christian Science practitioner I recognized that the revelation of Truth had come to me and that, till then, I had been on the wrong track. So great was my joy at learning that our Father-Mother God, infinite Love and good, is actually here, ever present, that I returned home as happy as I had been unhappy before. On my return, I told my mother all that I had heard, and she also perceived it at once. The next day she informed me that she had been quite free from pain and had slept all night. A few days later her limbs had lost their stiffness; and since then, September, 1920, she has been in very good health. The rupture was also healed within a few days, whereas we had tried in vain to bring her any relief through material means. She attends the Sunday services and the Wednesday evening meetings assiduously, and with great gratitude; and her health is better than it was even in her young days.

Our little daughter also enjoys excellent health. She has never again had occasion to go to bed on account of illness. Since we became acquainted with Christian Science, and since she has attended the Sunday school, she is quite transformed. I myself have been freed from liver complaint. I ceased dieting, and began eating everything from the time of my first treatment; for I had learned that "not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man."
