It is now nine years since I first took up the study of Christian Science. Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." I can truthfully say Christian Science has proved to me to be this truth that sets free. Previous to hearing anything about Christian Science I was, from a child, a great sufferer from rheumatism in severe forms. I had rheumatic fever three times, dropsy, rheumatic gout in my feet, rheumatism in the head, which would keep me three weeks at a time without sleep and; I was also suffering from most intense pain, neuritis of the spine, and valvular heart trouble. I was indeed a very delicate woman.

After the birth of my daughter, for years I suffered internally, ending in two operations. I was in bed practically two years, having several doctors. We got the best of medical advice, but there was no cure. The doctors were most kind and attentive to me, saying if they could give me a new constitution, they would do so. It was at this point Christian Science was brought to our notice. My husband attended a lecture and then borrowed the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for me; and through persevering with its teachings I am to-day a perfectly healthy and happy woman. All the old conditions have entirely left me. I can now go out in all weathers without any ill effects; my protection is in claiming the selfhood of man made in God's image and likeness, to whom He gave dominion.

I am indeed most grateful to all who have helped me in the unfolding of this great and wonderful truth. The more deeply we study Christian Science the deeper our love becomes for our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who gave to humanity her selfless and pure love, by devoting her life to gain this wonderful inspiration and revelation of the Bible. To show my gratitude, my one desire now is to follow her example and to help others as I have been helped.

I am pleased to affirm the truth of the healings as stated by my wife in the above testimony, and for which I am most grateful. From childhood I myself had suffered from Bright's disease, said to have been inherited from my parents; and up to the time of our introduction to Christian Science I was periodically in the doctor's hands. It is now over nine years since we commenced the study of Christian Science, and during that time no material remedy has been used, and all symptoms of disease have entirely disappeared. For this and many other blessings which have come into our home I am very grateful.

I would like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. From infancy I was very delicate, even my palate not being normal. I had two operations on my nose and throat, one when two years old, another when seven. I also suffered intense pain in the head. At thirteen years of age I was again confined to my bed, when the doctor said I had brain fever; this not developing, he thought it was an abscess in the head, and said if it got to the brain it would prove fatal. This was the way I was existing when Christian Science was brought to us. I was placed in the Christian Science Sunday School; and being a very quiet girl I studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, most sincerely and earnestly. I suddenly realized I was stronger and had no pain in my head; that I was able to sleep without sleeping tablets, had no indigestion, no constipation. Oh, what freedom! Since then I have proved many times the healing power of Christian Science. For the groundwork of the Sunday school I am deeply grateful; the strength and courage which it gives one for later years are wonderful.

My deep devotion and love for our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, can only be expressed in giving to the world in testimony a little of what her work has done for me.
