Among the Churches
Current Notes
Durban, Natal, South Africa. —First Church of Christ, Scientist, recently purchased property for £2664. The plot has a frontage of 115 feet on Russell Street and 146 feet on St. George's Street, and is very conveniently situated. A church hall to seat two hundred and fifty people is being built immediately, and a tender for £3126 has been accepted. Also a building on the property which will accommodate one hundred and eighty people has been altered and renovated at a cost of about £300, and is being used for services until September, when it is expected that the church hall will be completed. After that date the renovated building will be used by the Sunday school. The members hope to raise the total amount involved by the end of the present year.
