I have been reading Christian Science for several years...
I have been reading Christian Science for several years and so many blessings have come to me and mine that I wish to add this testimony to those I read each week. It seems impossible to begin with any special blessing, for there are so many. I believe my first desire was to know the true, living God. I had tried so hard in my church work to have a fuller realization of God and had not been satisfied. I never gave any consideration to Christian Science as I, like many others, without investigating it, considered it the devil's work. I had always taken a great deal of medicine, in fact felt that I must have something on hand to take constantly. I heard of a healing in Christian Science and inquired into it. Also a near relative who had been reading Science looked so well and happy that this also led me to read some of the literature. I have been reading it ever since.
It has not been necessary for me to take medicine for a number of years, I feel so strong and well. I have had instantaneous healings of constipation and an abscessed tooth, which usually took weeks of medical treatment. Nervousness has also been overcome. I had never been able to spend a night alone, being so afraid, and recently was alone several nights without a trace of fear. Fear of storms has likewise disappeared. I have had what seemed to be a slow healing and although I was treated by several loving practitioners the difficulty did not seem to yield. I was finally shown that the channel for my healing lay right in my own home through the work of my husband. I now know this is met. I am deeply grateful for our literature, and to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
