Through a deep sense of gratitude for the constant help of the Christian Science literature I send the following testimony. Having first been healed of an illness of long standing through a prayerful study of the Bible, I was very joyous and happy over it when a new neighbor gave me some Christian Science literature. Thinking, as I had been taught, that it was in teaching similar to spiritualism, hypnotism, and other beliefs of the carnal mind, or the belief in a power apart from the One spoken of all through the Bible, I laid it aside, saying, "Oh, if people could only know the Bible method of healing." I seemed guided by an unseen hand to make my every move. Taking down one of the Sentinels a week later, I prayerfully opened it, to find a beautiful poem describing my late experience; but I put the paper aside again, thinking of course it was designed, as I had been taught, to "deceive the very elect."

Again the prompting to read came, and again the truth was recognized, so I decided to read on and find the errors, if any, in this "new doctrine." I have now read and studied for ten years and am satisfied that it is primitive Christianity, revealed anew to this age by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who was spiritual enough to gain the heights of understanding. Healings are becoming the natural result of spiritualized thinking; error is retreating more and more into its native nothingness. I could not begin to enumerate the blessings in happiness, health, and wholeness this understanding brings to light and makes available.
