From childhood I had attended a denominational church...

From childhood I had attended a denominational church, but could not believe or understand its teachings. When it came to trying to make my children understand God, as I had been taught, I was at a standstill. So when Christian Science came to me, I devoured it eagerly. During my first months of study some wonderful healings came, among them that of a so-called incurable disease from which a daugher had suffered for nine years. Later that year we became busy with the manifold duties that come with life on a farm, and this daughter seemingly relapsed into the old condition. It has taken three years of patient study and work to overcome it. Now she is a big, strong girl in high school and simply radiates health.

We have had many wonderful healings, but we are more grateful for the spiritual understanding that Christian Science gives than all else. My three daughters and I are members of a Christian Science Society, and I rejoice in being a member of The Mother Church. My husband is studying and making his demonstrations. It is so beautiful to see the far-reaching effect of Truth, when we really try to reflect it. We are so thankful and grateful to our dear Leader and especially grateful for the Lesson-Sermons. The Monitor is eagerly read every day, also the Journal and Sentinel are gladly read and passed on. We can only try to show our gratitude to those who pointed the way by becoming better Christian Scientists ourselves.
