I thank God every day that I was led to visit a Christian Science practitioner at a time when everything seemed dark and life not worth the living. I had been almost an invalid for seven years, had taken treatment from a number of doctors, and much medicine, but continued to grow worse until I gave up hope of ever being well again. After that first visit with a Christian Scientist, I noticed my habit of thinking began to change, I simply forgot the wrong things that had been tormenting me. There was more love shown in our home, and everything began to change for the better. Really it was the new birth of which the Bible tells us.

We purchased a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and other Christian Science literature was kindly lent me. It tasted so good that I read most of the time and was healed in one week's treatment. Stomach and other internal troubles and rheumatism were some of the diseases overcome. I can work all day without feeling tired.

Of course, we are thankful for the physical healing but that is not all. I have found the "pearl of great price,"—the rule of right living,—and by daily study and using what I learn, find I can prove that Christian Science is indeed God's word, explained so plainly that we can understand and live by it. Jesus said, "Hear, and understand."
