I feel that it is time for me to acknowledge the blessings I have received through Christian Science. At the time of my father's death, when I was only seventeen years old, I prayed to God for protection and to be guided aright always, and I did have the faith that God did take care of His children, and am so thankful for having been brought up with that faith in God, as it has kept me in the way of Truth when mortal sense has tried to tell me I was not getting the results from Christian Science that I was working for. I firmly believe it was in answer to that prayer that I was led to a Christian Science home where I first heard something about it that I could understand. I did not take up the study though until three years after my marriage. Just before the birth of my oldest child I took scarlet fever but had the help of a practitioner, with the result that everything was harmonious and the physician said it was a marvel, that the could not understand why I got along so well, as under those conditions very few people lived. A few months later, when trying to get a better understanding of Christian Science, just the one thought of God's perfect creation healed me of a trouble for which I had taken medicine daily for over five years, and I have not used medicine for myself or children since.

It is a blessing to receive the physical healings but I am so grateful for the understanding of God's protection and guidance in all the affairs of our everyday life. I could not begin to tell the daily proofs I have of God's presence and the protection I feel my children have no matter where they are. I am more grateful for this than I can tell, to know they will be guided and protected always.
