Through Christian Science I was healed, about five years ago, of an internal trouble of eighteen years' standing. Two doctors said they could do nothing more than keep the pain down and that I would have to undergo a serious operation. This discouraged me very much, and I turned to God for guidance. A Christian Scientist called to see me about this time and offered me some literature, saying that if I read it earnestly I might not have to go to the hospital,—and I did not have to go. My health is perfect now. I think nothing of walking four or five miles a day and can do a good day's work. My son has also had a healing and is studying Science and Health. He has been overseas and returned safely, for which I am very thankful. I am truly grateful for the many blessings received, for the instructive literature, and for the clearer understanding of the Bible that has been gained through the study of Science and Health. I thank all the dear Christian Scientists who lovingly helped me to know the truth about God and man.
