With a heart full of love and gratitude to God for the healing which I have received through Christian Science, I write this testimony so that others may also be blessed. A few years ago I was taken with catarrhal trouble. Soon afterwards both my mother and my father passed away within three weeks of each other. Over my great loss and the fear of going into a decline I became very nervous. I was treated by several doctors, also went to two nerve specialists. They all told me it was a very severe nervous breakdown. With pains and noises in my head and with the severe pains and nervous feelings all over my body, I began to have a fear of insanity, which gradually grew worse. I was in a sanitarium for nearly nine weeks but received no help; on the contrary, I was giving way more and more to this thought.

Several of my relatives had spoken to me about Christian Science, and finally I went to see a practitioner. From that day I have not had any of my former fears, the nervous feelings have all left me, there are no pains in my head. In less than a week I went home and began to do all my housework, and have been doing it ever since. For this healing and the understanding of God given me, words cannot express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy. It is my desire that I may by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, gain a clearer understanding of Christian Science, so that I may be able to comfort others as I have been comforted.
