A short time ago my baby became very ill with a sore mouth, and the usual remedies did no good. The child grew worse and neighbors began to say she could not be cured. I became so alarmed that I again called a physician and carefully gave the medicine he left, but it did her no good. Among my neighbors was a Christian Scientist who proposed that I have Science treatment for the child. I knew something about this teaching, as I had been healed sometime before, but I had failed to increase my little store of knowledge and to put into practice what I knew. Now my extremity was certainly God's opportunity. At my request a practitioner was called and my little darling was well in two days. She has never been sick since, and no healthier baby could be found. How thankful I am to know of this blessed truth! I am striving daily to learn more of Christian Science, and pray that my light, though feeble, may be seen from afar.—(Mrs.) Jennetta Baty, Neosho, Mo.

It is with pleasure I verify the above testimony of my friend, who was also my neighbor at the time of the healing of her baby. I called at the home and helped care for the little one, and to me the demonstration was beautiful and most wonderful.

I have been a student of Christian Science since May, 1914, and desire to add my testimony, trusting it may be of some help and encouragement to others. For more than twenty years I sought peace and comfort in an orthodox church, but encountered many doubts and fears and experienced little else than disappointment, sickness, and suffering. I was never strong from childhood, and as I grew older I suffered from a throat affection, stomach trouble, weak heart, bowel disorder, and hemorrhoids. Looking to material means for healing I got only a little temporary relief. I was indeed most miserable and felt that every prop was giving way.
