In loving gratitude for all the blessings received since coming into Christian Science, I send my testimony. I had known of this teaching for a number of years, but was not interested in it, for I did not understand it. I was not, however, satisfied with life as I was living it and longed for something higher and nobler. About five years ago a young woman who was a Christian Scientist came into my home, and in one of our conversations she explained the teachings of Christian Science so that immediately the truth was apparent. At the time I was wearing a leather belt to support my back, arches in my shoes, and bandages around my knees to enable me to walk. I had undergone an operation in the spring and was slowly gaining strength. After talking with this young woman I decided to try Christian Science and asked her to treat me, which she lovingly did. The result was that I took off the belt, arch supports, and bandages, and have never used them since; later I laid aside glasses, which had been worn for years.

Since then I have many beautiful demonstrations of the healing power of God, but the spiritual uplift is more to me than all else. I am thankful to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her loving work, which has enabled us to find the truth.
