About three years ago I was healed through Christian Science of what the doctors termed an incurable disease. At that time I had no thought of taking up the study of this teaching and was very indifferent about reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. When the practitioner asked me to get a Quarterly and study the Lesson-Sermons, I decided to get the book from the reading room, as she had arranged for me to do so, but did not intend to read it, for I was a member of an orthodox church and did not want to hear of any other religion. I am, however, especially grateful for the right understanding of God which I have gained through the study of Christian Science, as I had been taught that God sent sickness and death. My healing was complete, and I am truly thankful for it.

Since then I have been able to overcome worry and fear through the understanding of Truth. A short time ago I lost the hearing in one of my ears, but with the aid of a practitioner I was all right in a few days. Our little girl was struck, in the eye with a piece of rock, but the pain was quickly overcome and the eye did not discolor. She was out playing again in a few hours. A sense of lack has been overcome in our home, and we have learned that God is our supply. The reading of the Sentinel is a great help to me, as I always find something in it that meets my need. I am indeed grateful to God for the many blessings I have received through the understanding I have gained of Christian Science.
