The Lectures

Riverside, Ill. (First Church).—Clarence W. Chadwick, lecturer; introduced by George Collins, who said in part:—

Christian Scientists have learned that God is Love, as the Scriptures declare Him to be, and that we are His off-spring. We rejoice in the understanding that a loving Father does not send sin, sickness, and inharmony to His children. We have not found a short cut to heaven, harmony, but we know that we have found the right road thitherward, a road wherein each forward step is a proved one, and the demonstration, or proof, of each step is a sign of Immanuel, or "God with us." When the Christ, Truth, comes to us and enables us to overcome sin and sickness in ourselves and others, as we need no other guideposts to inform us that we are in the straight and narrow way which leads to everlasting life.
