I first made the acquaintance of Christian Science five years ago, at a time when I was almost frantic with neuralgia, and the doctors were unable to give me any relief. I had suffered from this trouble for years, and a friend finally persuaded me to investigate Christian Science. During the service one Sunday morning I was taken with a bad attack, but at the conclusion of the service a practitioner treated me and instant relief was experienced, enabling me to resume my work the following morning. Since then I have been foolish enough to doubt the truth of this teaching and have had to suffer bitterly in consequence before I could attain real happiness. I am compelled to admit the truth of our dear Leader's words on page 242 of Science and Health, "There is but one way to heaven, harmony, and Christ in divine Science shows us this way." My gratitude to Mrs. Eddy can be expressed alone in the good that I can do in my present surroundings.
