I send this testimony to express my gratitude for the true explanation of Christianity given in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our great Leader, Mrs. Eddy. In 1913 I underwent an operation on my stomach. According to doctors and an X-ray examination, I was suffering from gastric ulcers. The operation did not seem to help me, for I suffered just as much and was many times worse after I left the hospital. A friend asked me to try Christian Science, and I took treatments of a practitioner. I was reared in the orthodox Jewish religion. Now I am proud to say that the teaching of Christ Jesus, with its explanation by the Christian Science textbook, relieved me of the belief of sickness and the fear of death, cured me of smoking and drinking, and in fact made a better man of me. It showed me the light of Life, the true God. I am very grateful for the Christian Science literature.
