I cannot express in words all that Christian Science...

I cannot express in words all that Christian Science means to me. It is a most glorious blessing to have been able to prove that we do not have to wait until some future day in order to receive help from God, but can dwell with Him now.

Three years and a half ago I began the study of Science and Health and went to a loving practitioner for help. At that time I was suffering much pain, and was compelled to have my neck and shoulders in a plaster cast after undergoing two operations. From childhood I was troubled with a weak heart, and when thirteen years old was taken out of school on that account. Instead of growing better, I became worse and was continually suffering from rheumatism and stomach disorder. The doctors did all they could for me, but when I was nineteen years of age they said it was necessary to perform a slight operation. This was followed by a serious one. Had not Christian Science come to me then, I am sure I would never have lived through the third operation which was to follow if I had stayed under medical treatment.

While studying Christian Science and having treatments I was healed, although the doctors said it would be impossible to cure me without an operation, and they stated that if I did not have one, I might die at any moment. All pain left with the first treatment, and at the end of the week the plaster cast was not needed. Strength came right away, but it was a year before the healing was complete, although all the other ailments left before then and my heart had grown strong. For two years and a half I have enjoyed health and strength, something never before experienced by me. I would also like to mention that a decayed tooth has been restored to soundness.
