Truly, "man's extremity is God's opportunity." After having been a sufferer from female trouble for years, I underwent an operation; in about a year and a half, however, the old trouble came back, and I again consulted a doctor, who after having failed to secure a record of my operation refused to take the case. A few weeks from that time a lady, who was a Christian Science practitioner, came to the house. She read to me from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy; and since I longed to be healed, both spiritually and physically. I began its study in connection with The Christian Science Quarterly and the Bible. Through the understanding of Truth I have been healed of bowel disorder of eighteen years' standing, rheumatism, sick headache, female trouble, and colds, also burns caused by a coal gas explosion in a stove, and sprained ankle.

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for all these blessings. I am very grateful for having had the benefit of class instruction, which helps me to help others, and enables me to feel a deeper love for Mrs. Eddy, who through her faithfulness gave the world a demonstrable religion.
