For about two years I was under the care of eminent surgeons, some of whom were personal friends, for a condition of one leg called by them tubercular. During that time I was operated on twice, but the leg was worse after each operation. I then turned to Christian Science, with the result that I am today completely healed. At one time the leg was drawn backward until it was almost doubled under me, and had also wasted away until it became about half its normal size ; but under Christian Science treatment it gradually straightened and became normal in size.

Most of this change took place while I was employed in a position which required me to be on my feet constantly and walking the greater part of the day, so the healing efficacy of Christian Science was proved to me. Had I received no more than the physical healing, I would have every reason to be thankful to God ; this is the least that Christian Science has done for me. It has brought me life by teaching what God is, and has shown me the real man by giving me a vision of the Christ, Truth. It has taught me to think right thoughts about my neighbor, and has revealed to me spiritual universe by recognizing God's ideas, reflecting Him everywhere. Could I ask for more?

I have only gratitude for our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who was pure enough to rise to that plane of consciousness where she could recognize this truth, and who was unselfish and brave enough to give it to the world.
