Words cannot express my gratitude to God for His lovingkindness...
Words cannot express my gratitude to God for His lovingkindness shown me. About five years ago I became interested in Christian Science. At that time I had become a mental wreck, caused from worry. All that I am and ever expect to be I owe to Christian Science. It has shown me how to love humanity with a pure, unselfish, and uplifting thought, and for this I am indeed thankful to God, the giver of all good things.
Having suffered with headaches for a long time, I was obliged to wear glasses for relief, and did so for about nine years, during which time there were intervals when I suffered a great deal of pain in the eyes. Four and a half years ago I was healed of wearing glasses through the loving ministration of a Christian Science practitioner. I have also been healed of extreme nervousness and am being freed from a bad temper and fear. Instead of looking on the dark side of life I now look on the bright side, as I know that God is supreme and all powerful.
In gaining an understanding of divine Truth I feel profoundly grateful to the practitioners, and to every one who has given me a word of encouragement. I now know that so long as I am humble and willing to allow my thoughts to be governed by divine intelligence, I shall have peace and contentment. Christian Science has brought harmony into my life, and during my study of its literature I have lost all desire for strong drink. God is teaching me how to eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, and wrong thoughts by replacing them with thoughts of love and kindness.
