It is a pleasant duty to testify to the blessings I have received through Christian Science. I became interested in this teaching through the healing of my sister-in-law, and the results which I had the opportunity of seeing induced me to take up the study of Science and Health and other literature bearing on the subject. Since then I have been able to solve various problems with the help derived from these teachings, one of the results being that I got a better position. Besides this, colds in the family have always been quickly overcome.
When about three months ago my seven and a half year old daughter was taken ill with measles, I immediately asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and the healing was brought about very quickly. Although a young child, she makes practical use of her knowledge of Christian Science. My younger daughter, four years old, was stricken with the same illness a week later, but was freed within a few days through the work of a practitioner. Recently, when we were moving from Hannover to this city, my oldest girl was taken with inflammation of the throat during the trip. I at once applied for help by letter, with the result that she was freed very quickly. In closing I would mention one more incident. During a recent walk, while picking flowers, I inadvertently reached into a bush of nettles; but I immediately applied my knowledge of Christian Science, realized the truth, and within a few minutes was free from pain.
Christian Science, when properly applied, has proved to us a never-failing source of good. I gratefully remember its Founder, Mrs. Eddy, through whom these things have been revealed to the world, and I am earnestly trying to live in accordance with truth as taught in her writings.
