I would like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science...
I would like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. While in the southern states I had an attack of swamp fever and was obliged to return home. My mother, who had been reading Christian Science literature, recommended that I call a practitioner, but fear came into the home and a doctor was sent for. The ailment was pronounced typhoid fever in its most malignant form, I could not retain anything in my stomach, and I suffered untold agony. The doctor came three times a day for three days and admitted the case was a puzzle to him, so I dismissed him. He plainly told me that I would be the "sickest" fellow within three days and would very likely have to be strapped in bed. I then decided to try Christian Science, and asked my mother to telephone for a practitioner. After being treated for three days I could eat anything I wanted without the least distress, and within two weeks I was perfectly well.
While I was ill my mother fell on the back porch and barely escaped serious injuries. She asked for Christian Science treatment, and within three days all manifestation of stiffness and soreness was gone. For this healing and many other blessings we are grateful to Christian Science, and our hearts are full of gratitude to Mrs. Eddy. We hope to be able to help others as we have been helped in the truth.
