Fifteen years ago I was healed through Christian Science...
Fifteen years ago I was healed through Christian Science of a lingering disease of the lungs, supposedly inherited. My father had passed away with it, also my sister. I was healed in less than twenty-four hours, although I had become unconscious. Since then two children have been born to us without medical attendance, physically perfect and healthy. They have never had a drop of medicine. Although they have manifested several of the so-called children's diseases, they have quickly recovered with the aid of Christian Science. I presided at our dining-table the evening after our little daughter arrived, and having occasion to go out took her with me when she was four days old.
To those seeking help in Christian Science the physical healing seems very wonderful, but as one begins to understand a little of the beauty of this teaching, the physical healing is seen to be a perfectly natural result of corrected thought. I cannot express in words my gratitude for the transformation which has come into my life, for a completely altered disposition and temper, and for the consciousness that heaven has begun right here and now. The peace of God, which passeth all human understanding, has come into my life through the little knowledge I have of Christian Science. I am truly thankful to God, and grateful to His messenger, our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has revealed the practical, demonstrable religion and mission of Jesus to this age.
