In December, 1913, I suddenly became very ill
In December, 1913, I suddenly became very ill. The physician who was called in at once stated that it was a case of appendicitis and ordered my immediate removal to the hospital, where an operation was to be performed. However, my mother did not agree to this, and upon her request a Christian Science practitioner came to see me and took up treatment. The result was that in two weeks' time I was completely restored to health, and I have experienced no trouble of any kind since. For this I am most deeply grateful to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
