My deep gratitude for Christian Science can only be expressed...
My deep gratitude for Christian Science can only be expressed in a great desire to prove by deeds this never-failing, practical, and demonstrable religion. Although I was reared in a Christian home, my blind faith in God did not meet my every need. It was not until I knew the truth as discovered by Mrs. Eddy that the great Principle by which all problems can be solved was made clear to me.
One night I was taken with severe pain. Acute stomach disorder and poisoning were mentioned by members of the household as a possible cause of the intense suffering, and different material remedies were offered but refused. After hours of great pain and loss of strength, the help of a Christian Science practitioner was called for. Immediately the healing thought was received and I knew the meaning of the Master's promise, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." In less than ten minutes I fell into a most restful sleep, from which I wakened with a sense of perfect peace and comfort, confident in the knowledge that Life is divine Mind, Soul, Spirit.
This experience is only one of the countless daily blessings which prove to me that God, infinite good, is All, and I am indeed grateful for Christian Science.
