Through I have experienced many cases of healing during the eight years that I have been interested in Christian Science, I was particularly impressed with one which was practically instantaneous. Some time ago I came home from the city, and seeming to be fatigued, retired early. About midnight I was awakened by a sharp pain in the stomach and intestines, and the attack seemed so severe that I was kept awake most of the night. In the morning a Christian Science practitioner was called in. At once, upon her entrance, I had a sense of the presence of Truth revealed to human consciousness. After the audible reading of the platform from Science and Health (see p. 330) and one treatment, I slept for two hours. Shortly after awaking I ate a good meal and then dressed. There has been no return of the symptoms. I first became interested in Chrisitan Science by attending the Sunday school in Orange (where the above healing occurred), and have been interested ever since. I find this teaching very helpful in my various college activities, and I am happy to be able to assist in the local work here.

I am truly thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, for the spiritual uplift, as well as for the physical healing which has come through this spiritual understanding of the teaching of Christ Jesus, which is indeed scientific.
