On page 2 of her Message to The Mother Church for 1902, Mrs. Eddy states: "I never left the church, either in heart or in doctrine; I but began where the church left off. When the churches and I round the gospel of grace, in the circle of love, we shall meet again, never to part."

Christian Scientists freely acknowledge their gratitude to those laborers in God's vineyard, individuals and churches, who have helped to make the Bible the best known book of the world. In making the spiritual treasures of that book practically available to its readers, Christian Science is indeed perfecting a work the foundations of which have been laid by many noble and far-seeing men and women to whom the Bible held out the promise which is now being fulfilled by its sweet ministrations and its spiritual victories over sin and disease, poverty and death. As partners in that work of redemption Christian Scientists refrain from stigmatizing their colaborers. Even though it is plain to students of Christian Science that the godlike views of man presented by the Bible have been obscured in popular thought by the manlike views of God put forth in creed and sermon, they nevertheless endeavor to recognize and honor sincerity and honesty of purpose wherever it appears.
