I am indeed grateful for the many blessings received through the knowledge of Christian Science, and for a clearer realization of the truth. By this better understanding of God, instantaneous healings of a severe throat affection and colds have been made. I have always been quickly healed through Christian Science whenever I have had any difficulty of this kind. A terrible sense of fear has gone, and Truth is surely overcoming every sense of lack.
Some time ago, when jumping on a motor bus which was moving very rapidly at the time, I miscalculated the distance and struck my right kneecap upon the top step with such force that for the moment it was quite impossible to say where I had been hurt. Getting inside the bus, the only thing I could do was to repeat the "scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468). In pondering this truth it came to me so clearly how impossible it is for God's child, the expression of divine Love, to be anything but perfect, that instantly all pain and sickness disappeared. There has not been any discoloration or stiffness since.
I cannot find words to express the deep, humble gratitude for the spiritual uplift, for the joy and happiness, and especially for the daily peace which has come to me; also for all our literature, which is so helpful. I am deeply thankful to God, and grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, as well as to all my Science friends.
