Since earliest childhood my fifteen-year-old son had been afflicted with what is called "long-sightedness" in a severe form, making it necessary for him to use strong glasses all the time. As this defect was steadily growing worse, we were becoming much alarmed, when Christian Science with its sublime teachings came like a ray of light into this darkness of fear and worry. I applied to a practitioner for help for my son, and with five treatments he was not only healed of the defect of the eyes, but also of a serious stomach trouble. After his third call at the practitioner's office, my son came home beaming, with his glasses in his pocket, and today it would be difficult for him to see anything with these very glasses which he wore so many years.
I myself was a sufferer from a stomach ailment for a good many years, and for a time my diet was greatly restricted. When I in turn asked a local practitioner for help, I was entirely freed from this ailment after the third treatment. I can hardly find words to express my deep-felt gratitude for this spiritual healing, which has revealed to us the power of divine Truth and made us gain a new sense of and a new outlook on life. I think of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, the active pioneer and Founder of Christian Science, with a sense of grateful reverence and unspeakable love. Fear and doubt have vanished from my consciousness, unflinching faith has remained victorious, and a liberating and jubilant song rings within me. "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"
