Rejoice

When the good you desire seems so far away
That your hope grows dim in your heart
And your faith less clear, it is time to pray,
And awaken and do your part.
Do not think there is naught you have failed to do,
While your problem stands incomplete;
The solution can only be wrought by you,
And you cannot afford defeat.

It is time to rejoice when you meet a test
Which will try your faith and your hope,
For you never can prove what is purest and best
Till with trials you bravely cope.
Then rejoice and be glad you are called to prove
That your faith is clear and strong,
And with patience rely on eternal Love,
And no discord will mar your song.
