In the summer of 1912 I was taken with severe nervous debility and rheumatism. I felt very miserable, had no appetite, and became subject to spells of mental depression and fear. Having been an adherent of Christian Science for several years, I did not send for a physician, but tried to realize for myself the power of Truth. The sense of fear did not yield, however, and I therefore requested a friend who is a practitioner in this locality, to treat me. She did so, with the result that after the second treatment I felt better and was able to get up, and my appetite returned. With a few more treatments the pain gradually disappeared, so that at the end of the vacation time I was able to take up my profession. When suffering with similar nervous conditions in former years, and medical treatment was resorted to, it would at times take months for me to recover.

My heart overflows with thankfulness to God, and with gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, when I consider the many blessings which I have received both spiritually and physically, in addition to the healing experienced in the above instance, through the application of the truth as revealed in our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
